Upping the ante on enhancing the customer experience at Dubai International (DXB), operator Dubai Airports has launched a high-tech system that monitors airport operations in real-time and visualises traffic flows to support consistently smooth operations at the world’s busiest airport.
realtimeDXB, a bespoke cloud-based platform, gathers data generated by more than 50 operational systems, including those of Dubai Airports and its many service partners. Dubai International (DXB) started the final quarter of the year on a positive note with 7 million plus customers passing through its doors in October.There was moderate growth in October (2.1% YoY), helping the hub’s traffic to reach 74.5 million passengers for the year. Key facts and figures
Customers served: 7,007,823 in October (2.1%) taking DXB’s year to date numbers to 74,529,259 (+1.5%).
Baggage volumes: 5.7 million bags (+4%) passed through the airport’s sophisticated 175 km long baggage system during October.

Dubai has 8.37 million reasons to celebrate after that number of customers passed through the world’s #1 international airport Dubai International (DXB) in August, setting a new global standard and surpassing the airport’s former record of 8.23 million set in August 2017.
August marks the second consecutive month that DXB has crossed the eight million customer mark, setting Dubai Airports up for a strong third quarter. DXB’s average monthly traffic this year is 7.5 million. That’s 1.2 million more than its closest rival London Heathrow (6.29 million).
